Mental Health First Aid Training

     Wellbeing is GOOD for business

Stress, anxiety and depression are the biggest cause of sickness absence in our workforce. There is an increasing societal awareness of how important it is for us to have the knowledge to understand what mental health is, how we can look after our wellbeing and have the skills to be able to implement this practically into the work place.

To be an “employer of choice” creating mentally healthy working environments is a conscious business decision.

76% of line managers believe they are responsible for employee wellbeing, but only 22% have received training (BITC, Mental Health at Work Report, 2016)

Michelle has fifteen years’ experience of successfully delivering training and is passionate about supporting people to maintain a healthy mental health through education. She is an accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor with an operational background in mental health.

Knowing how to embed WELLBEING at the heart of the organisation

Organisations that have effective employee wellbeing programmes outperform the market. Mental health training in the workplace provides the knowledge, practical skills and experience of how to support your employees.

The Mental Health First Aid courses will equip you with the knowledge and understanding of mental health and what can impact on wellbeing. The skills to identify triggers and signs of mental health issues and the confidence to know how to respond and how to aid recovery.

Testimony – “I was really impressed by Michelle at the Mental Health First Aid training I attended in 2019. She successfully created a very safe and comfortable environment to discuss the sensitive issues in the training and managed different participants’ responses to the content in a highly professional manner, reflecting her specialist background in counselling. Michelle’s flexibility within the training to adapt the activities to the needs in the room was also useful, as it ensured the session was as relevant as possible. I would undoubtedly recommend her to anyone looking to organise Mental health first aid training in their organisation.” BW-E
